Cooper Cemetery

The Cooper Cemetery is in section four located on the south side of 600 North between State Road 9 and 300 East. In 1887, the surrounding acres were owned by Lewis Cooper, Melissa Cooper and the heirs of Robert Cooper. Today, it is fenced on three sides, but the attractive wrought-iron archway entrance with the name Cooper Cemetery, which was intact in the 1970s is gone. The grounds are well maintained by funds from the county and has had recent burials.
